A United Nations Youth Group from Switzerland have expressed their
utmost satisfaction on the critical roles played by various
Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) in Ghana.
The United Nations Youth
Group from Switzerland who are in the country at the invitation by
their Ghanaian counterpart made this known during an on-going monthlong
cultural exchange.
The exchange is to allow them realize the role of NGOs and how NGOs
conduct their corporate social responsibilities. The UN youth are a
group of young and dynamic tertiary students with the passion to change
society through volunteerism and skills acquired in schools.
The
elevenmember- team arrived on 5th August and scheduled to leave the
shores of Ghana by the end of this month.
The exchange program has so far offered participants the time to
visit the Swiss Embassy, meet with the European Union Delegation to
Ghana, Nestle Ghana and the Human Rights Advocacy Centre.
President of
the UN Youth Ghana, Prince Yeboah Acheampong has also expressed hope in
the Ghanaian Youth., noting that the main aim of this exchange is to
afford their Swiss counterparts an insight into how systems work in
Ghana and by extension, foster strong collaboration between the two
countries.
